We were proud to welcome Tom Daggett to school last week from St Paul's Cathedral. Tom is working as a community outreach organist. He certainly inspired children at the school to learn about this unique instrument. He also wowed some parents who stayed behind after drop-off to hear him play.

We enjoyed a wonderful Founder's Day this year. All the children went to Church to celebrate the anniversary of the birth of our Founder, Sir John Cass. Members of Sir John Cass's Foundation and other invited special guests processed to Church for the start of our service at 11.30am.
Class 6 were proud to be part of Democracy Day at the Houses of Parliament last week.
Sir John Cass was the only primary school to be involved in the event which was hosted by the Rt Hon John Bercow MP, the Speaker of the House of Commons. Everyone got to look around parliament, ask questions and enjoy a reception in the Speaker’s rooms. We even got to visit the House of Lords. We couldn’t get into the House of Commons as there was a debate about to start. It was a great opportunity to learn about democracy and the work of Parliament. The morning was rounded off by enjoying a special cake (pictured above) baked by the Worshipful Company of Bakers. It was delicious! |
