Serving our school

At the start of each academic year we turn our thoughts to electing our school councillors, Head Boy and Head Girl. This year during the election season we’ve been thinking about distinctive British Values in our assemblies, especially in Key Stage 2. In our school we actively teach about the following British Values:
· The rule of law and how laws are made
· About democracy and how elections work
· Individual liberty– the right to make choices and lead a free life.
· Mutual respect and tolerance of the options of others.

We conduct our elections in school very formally. All of the candidates for the role of Head Boy and Head Girl make speeches to the whole school assembly. The election is then carried out using a secret ballot. The children get to vote for a boy and a girl. We follow similar rules in each of the classrooms where children elect their school council representatives.

We’re proud to announce the results of the elections below. We know that all of the children in different roles in our school will serve Sir John Cass to the very best of their ability. Congratulations to you all!
